The Lavellan clan is a Dalish clan that wanders the wilderness in the northern Free Marches.
Background
Clan Lavellan has always been small to moderate in size, the number of members ranging from a few dozen to twice that. Starting at the beginning of the Dragon Age, the clan suffered an unusual loss of its members. One of its mages, Tathis, died mysteriously early on in the Age. In 9:19, one of the young mages, Athera, was given to Clan Sulan, as Clan Lavellan had enough mages of their own. Although two city elf children joined the community around the same time, within the next decade two of the clan's mages, including Keeper Deshanna's husband, passed away and her First, Deya, ran off to the city. One of the clan's best hunters was also killed suddenly at only 36. This left Clan Lavellan with considerably fewer mages and young members than had been anticipated. They were pleased, therefore, when they received the now deceased Deya's human-blooded child.
